Build a literary community with sensory play!
Did you know play is an important literacy tool for kids with Down Syndrome? Volunteer to engage in learning activities and sensory play with the Down Syndrome Alabama leaders and community members!
Volunteers MUST arrive at 2:30 for a brief orientation on literacy enrichment led by members of Down Syndrome Alabama. The enrichment activities will begin at 3:00PM in the O'Neal Library's Conference Room.
This program is for students rising to grades 7-12. Registration is REQUIRED. Got questions? Email young adult librarians Michelle Cheng and Gracie Roth at teens@oneallibrary.org. This Sensory Play Literacy program with DSA is part of our Summer of Service program series, so you will receive volunteer hours for your participation.
