Mountain Brook first responders will lead teens in a CPR & First Aid training class!
Your knowledge may help save a life one day! Students will receive practical training in manual CPR, operating AED devices, and treating simple wounds from members of the Mountain Brook Fire Department on Saturday, March 15 at 10AM-12PM. These skills are highly preferred in babysitters, lifeguards, and camp counselors. CPR training can be an intense physical activity, so we recommend all students wear comfortable clothing they won't mind sweating in and bring a water bottle and snack to this class.
Students MUST BE at least 14-19 years of age to attend this event and receive AHA certification. Registration is REQUIRED. Got questions? Email young librarians Michelle Cheng and Gracie Roth at teens@oneallibrary.org.
Certification from the American Heart Association is OPTIONAL. If you are interested, please bring the following items to the class:
Your AHA CPR certification status must be renewed every two (2) years with hands-on training and payment. AHA certification cards will be mailed or emailed to students 5-10 business days after this training class.
