In this 6-week series, you'll curate your very own collection of poetry for moments of reflection or prayer.
Building on the contemplative foundation of last year’s “Poetry as Prayer,” this new six-session series by Miriam Calleja invites participants to deepen their engagement by not only drafting and compiling a personal “prayer book,” but also by embodying poetry through memorization, vocalization, and creative risk. Each session foregrounds a vital aspect of poetic practice—how we learn from poems, foster inner guidance, and allow poetry to dwell in our daily lives.
The length of each session is 90 minutes, and the sessions would be divided into discussion, sharing of poems, writing exercise/s, and then poem selection.
Before registering, please make sure you can attend at least 5 or the 6 sessions, preferably all. All six sessions will take place on the library's 2nd floor in the Quiet Room.
All sessions will take place at 3:00 - 4:30pm. Dates are as follows:
October 12th, 19th, and 26th
November 2nd, 9th, and 16th
