The Children's Department transforms into a fabulous beauty salon, whipping up some enchanting, gravity-defying Fancy Nancy hairstyles just in time for the holidays! No appointments are necessary. Sign up when you get to the Children's Department (expect a wait).

Jólabókaflóð: The O'Neal Book Flood

Dec. 18th - Dec. 23rd to pick up book and hot cocoa

This Icelandic tradition of gifting books on Christmas Eve while drinking hot cocoa is celebrated every year on December 24th. 

To participate, fill out the following form to help us select a library book for your family (one book per family) to enjoy reading together on Christmas Eve.  Pick up your wrapped library book and hot cocoa mix between December 16th and December 23rd in the Children's Department at O'Neal Library.

Reading Buddies
Jan. 6 from 3:30 pm - 4:30 pm

Children are invited to practice reading aloud with a buddy. We have teen volunteers through our wonderful Teen Advisory Board and trained dogs through Hand in Paw. Teen and canine reading buddies are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
