My sister is a librarian and that had an influence on me. I went to the library a lot growing up and always found it to be a special place that I loved visiting. So, after high school, I started working here and received a BA in History from UAB, then later received an MLIS from the University of Alabama.

My duties at O’Neal include checking items in/out, helping patrons locate items, and directing them in the library. I am currently Circulation Roundtable Moderator for Jefferson County Public Library Association. My favorite parts of the job are helping patrons at the front desk and collaborating with coworkers and other libraries to solve problems.

When asked about the funniest thing to have happened while at work, I have to say that although it may sound cliché, every day is its own adventure. No two days are the same. All of the staff here are wonderful and make working here so much fun!
