I've been a fan of the Jefferson County Library Cooperative since I was a kid! My family visited the O'Neal Library and other JCLC locations frequently for books, programs, and resources, and I participated in several library service opportunities as a teenager. I started working in libraries part-time in 2016 during my freshman year of college at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. In 2018, I was promoted to an Adult & Young Adult library assistant at O'Neal Library. Now, I serve the community as the Young Adult Librarian! I am studying at the University of Alabama's School of Library & Information Studies to acquire my Masters degree.

You can find me on the 2nd Floor of the O'Neal Library connecting information & literacy resources to teens in grades 7-12 and their adult guardians, preparing fun and educational library events for teens, and curating the Young Adult print & digital collection. I accredit my awesome librarianship powers to the O’Neal Library's Teen Advisory Board! These teens are the masterminds behind the library's ability to provide exceptional services to their peers. Some of our best programs were inspired by TAB's ideas, such as the DIY Yums easy cooking programs and the Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Student Debt financial literacy series.

I love learning and experiencing new things in my free time, so I have tons of hobbies: playing classical cello, caring for houseplants, crafting in front of a TV (my most recent craft obsessions are crochet, LEGOs, and diamond painting), exploring festivals and markets around Birmingham, eating delicious foods, and reading webcomics.
