I went to Mountain Brook schools then Samford University before receiving my Master's Degree from the University of Alabama. I’m married to my awesome husband, Doug. We have four kids and LOTS of pets. I love music, dancing, stitching, laughing, storytelling, and people! 

I am insatiably curious about all sorts of things. I love to learn new things, which makes being a librarian so fun! This year I’ve learned American Sign Language and how to play the mandolin. I also love to meet people and hear their stories. I am a big fan of bluegrass music, the Grateful Dead, the late, great John Prine, and embroidery of all kinds!  

If I could wave a magic wand and add one feature to the Library, I would add a shaded garden on the roof with spaces for seating, eating, congregating, hammocks, and, of course, an area for music and dancing!
