I graduated from Montevallo with a BFA in Art and then worked in food services for several years, which was horrible. Then, I found libraries, which have been great to me.

My favorite book is Larry McMurtry’s The Last Picture Show. It captures what life is like in a small town, very well.

What excites/motivates me about working in a Library setting is giving the general public access to various art and media, for free! Nothing gets me more pumped! It also gives me access to all the Library’s Manga and Criterion DVDs, which rules.

I like drawing, reading, watching movies, and going on walks. I co-authored a graphic novel titled The Sprite and the Gardener and am currently working on another thing that will come out in 2026, ideally! I also make what I would describe as a pretty good baked ziti.
