I graduated valedictorian from West Blocton High School in 1995, cum laude from the University of Montevallo with a BA in English in 1999, and received my Master’s of Library Information Science from the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa in 2007. I grew up in Hueytown and lived in Woodstock before moving to Birmingham in 2018.   

I love helping people enrich their lives, access information, and find the perfect read they need in the perfect moment!  

My most memorable moment at the library was finding an enormous dinner-plate sized toad in the Mystery section. We relocated it to a nearby stream, but it was a complete “mystery” how it got here (see what I did there?!).
