Library Assistant II, Children's Department

dingram@oneallibrary.org

I am currently a reading interventionist in my 32nd year of teaching at Pinson Elementary School. My duties at the library involve patron assistance and supporting staff in the Children’s department with materials and programming.

The favorite part of my job involves working on and completing various projects which enhance the efficiency with which we provide service. The best part of working in the Children’s department is my co-workers who can envision and bring to fruition great programs and amazing visuals such as transforming our department each year to match the Summer Reading theme.

I love traveling to new places and have cruised to many Caribbean islands and Central American countries. The varied experiences of hiking in a rain forest, visiting a remote beach, transiting the Panama Canal, or learning about historical events/places are never boring. The convenience of unpacking once at the beginning of the trip and waking up each day in a new location is great. I hope to cruise to the Mediterranean and Hawaii on future adventures.
